We are looking for a Operations Manager to join this NZ owned & operated company. Bring your experience with NZ construction compliance process (Local Body consenting).
Our client provides storage solution for major NZ corporations, government bodies and small businesses. They provide pallet racking and other warehouse components, design,construction, installation, planning, inspections and compliance. This locally owned and operated company is a small family run business where everyone pitches in to keep the projects moving, they hold regular casual social events and are flexible when important family things pop up.
We are looking for someone who can support the running of the business by developing and executing strategies to achieve sales growth and operational efficiency. Supporting the site/project based team to maintain successful and smooth delivery across the small day to day projects but also the larger complicated and specialised projects. Manage operational budgets and sales revenue, including running weekly sales meetings. Actively support sales team, liaise with clients, directing quotes to appropriate sales staff, providing desk top sales, and most importantly facilitating consent to local bodies. The team of 10-12 are well established and bring many years if experience in storage solutions.
You will have:
- An understanding and experience of construction and the compliance process (Local Body consenting) in New Zealand.
- Great interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage our team and clients
- Good planning and strategic skills, and ability to problem solve under pressure
- Experience in office management and sales
- Experience with MYOB, Excel preferable
