80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE)

We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our talented team in our acute surgical services. The role is varied and requires someone who is able to think on their feet and has exceptional interpersonal skills. You must be able to encourage patients in ways of safe exercising, moving themselves and maximising their independence. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, however more importantly you will be willing to learn and can demonstrate the values of Te Whatu Ora in your everyday interactions.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering rehabilitation treatments as directed by therapists to individual patients
  • Facilitating groups within wards
  • Deliveries and installation of equipment into patient’s homes
  • Supporting the therapy teams in day to day practice
  • Administration tasks.

Salary Range for this position is - $55,604 - $58,914, in accordance with Public, Allied and Technical Health Employee’s Multi Employer Collective Agreement (MECA) Step 2 - Step 3 according to qualifications and relevant experience pro-rated for hours worked
